Excel Option - Maximum Iterations

In Excel, the “Maximum Iterations” option controls how many times Excel will recalculate a formula that contains circular references. Circular references occur when a formula refers back to its own cell, either directly or indirectly.

How to Set

  1. Open File tab
  2. Click on Options
  3. Select the Formulas category
  4. Under Calculation options, check the box for “Enable iterative calculation”
  5. Set the “Maximum Iterations” value to your desired number
  6. Click OK to save the changes
