Anticipation Inventory
Anticipation inventory is a type of inventory which is similar to a buffer, except that it provides for expected changes in supply or demand.
For example, I know that more people will buy my jackets during winter season, so I’m going to produce more in the summer just to be ready for that winter rush.
Or another, I know that potatoes are in season now, so I’ll buy more just to stock them up for the winter months.
