Pipeline Inventory

Also known as “In-Transit Inventory”.

A type of inventory that is currently being transported between locations in the supply chain. For example, pipeline stock results when WIP goods are moved between manufacturing plans or when finished goods are moved to distribution centers or delivered to customers.
