Feedback Foundations

  • Observation: Pay careful attention to behavior
  • Analysis: Trace connection between behavior and impact of behavior
  • Interpersonal Interaction: Deliver feedback in a way that can be heard

Constructive Feedback

There are 3 components mainly to constructive feedback

  1. Goal: State the goal that you have for providing the feedback
  2. Concern/Fear: State the concern/fear that you have about how recipient might perceive you and/or how the recipient might react
  3. Impact: incomplete
