Capacity Constraint Resource

In a process, a Capacity Constraint Resource (CCR) is a resource (such as a machine, workstation, or employee) whose capacity is less than the demand of the process.

Notice, this means that, while a process often has one bottleneck, it’s possible for every step in a process to be a CCR.
