CCR Vs Bottleneck
Notice that, a bottleneck refers to the limiting step in a process. In contrast, a CCR refers to any resource whose capacity is less than the demand placed on it.
So, there are many possibilities. You can have
- A process which has one bottleneck while every step is a CCR.
- A process which has one bottleneck but no CCR (in this case, you would not want to run at capacity)
- A process which has multiple bottlenecks and multiple CCRs.
